APOSTLE

Minister Iris Johnson Brown is a native of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and resides in Charleston, South Carolina with her loving husband of 37 years, Reverend “Coach” Marion Brown. They have four beautiful children and five precious grandchildren. In her younger years, Iris modeled on fashion runways, graced magazine covers, and won many beauty pageant titles.

She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree, Creative Arts Specialization, and a Master of Divinity degree. After a vibrant 30-year Music teaching career, she served in pastoral ministry for 10 years. She has returned to her passion of teaching and training up God’s young minstrels and Levites in the area of worship. Iris has yielded herself as God’s vessel since childhood, sharing her gifts with the world.

She releases her music gifts on an online teaching ministry called “Fragrant Worship”, and also hosts a Bible Study for young children, called “Simply Divine.” She has written and recorded many contemporary-sacred songs, which allow her to walk through many doors of ministry. Chorus was a huge part of my son, Nicholas’ school experience.  I am so thankful to Iris for encouraging him to sing and try out for chorus. Being part of the chorus helped him fully enjoy his high school experience. He loved every minute. Thank you!
